I actually could not watch or listen to Rika doing that. Really fucked up. In my opinion gore and murder is not what makes Higurashi good. In fact it's probably the worst part of this series. I really enjoyed season 2 of the original because against the odds, they pulled miracle after miracle to win. I think it's a misconception that this is Higurashi at its best, when its nothing but blood and gore. But that's just not true

And That's the story is getting connected

Rika has such painful ways of ending her worlds. Can't she just overdose sleep pills, or breathe carbon monoxide while sleeping or something.

Try Higurashi no naku koro ni 1 and Higurashi no naku koro ni Kai and Rei (season 1 2 and 3). 1 is full of death as well, but season 2 and 3 is where they all work together to fix everything with a happy ending.

then this isnt the anime for you, go try the older ones, i believe the sequel to the first anime is where it gets somewhat better
